From Salford. Campaigning for young carers in the North-West and across the UK.
About us
How the campaign began
Who Cares is a documentary play made by The Lowry, the theatre company LUNG, in partnership with Gaddum. Made with 4 young carers in Salford, Who Cares tells the story of Antonia-Rae, Ciaron, Kerry and Paige - using their own words and own experiences.
From 2017 to 2019, Who Cares toured to over 33 schools, community spaces and theatres across the UK with the aim of identifying hidden young carers. Nearly 200 unidentified carers were signposted to local services for support and the show was performed in the House of Lords.
The Who Cares Campaign was set up as a response to the thousands of young people we met across the country. Our aim is to amplify the voices of hidden young carers and to advocate for better support. Find out about the who cares tour at the who cares tour website.
